The second quarter of 2026 highlighted A-PAD Philippines’ continued push to turn resilience into practical, locally driven action. Across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, A-PAD PH worked with communities, local governments, businesses, health institutions, civil society, and young volunteers to strengthen preparedness for disasters and the growing impacts of climate change.
This edition highlights initiatives that brought resilience closer to communities—from helping microentrepreneurs in Digos strengthen their businesses against disasters and climate risks, to advancing emergency medical preparedness and coordination in Central Luzon and Ormoc.
The quarter also put strong emphasis on community and youth participation. Human Resource Network (HRN) volunteers in Bicol and SOCCSKSARGEN led awareness campaigns and humanitarian activities, demonstrating how young people can contribute to climate action, disaster preparedness, and community resilience.
Other initiatives focused on strengthening early warning systems for MSMEs and communities, building partnerships, improving connectivity for emergency response, and creating spaces where different sectors can better understand emerging and interconnected risks.
Together, these stories reflect a common theme: resilience is strongest when preparedness is local, partnerships are multi-sectoral, and communities are empowered to act.
